Our school motto is supported by the statement over our front entrance –

OVERVIEW
Belconnen High School is located in Murranji Street, Hawker and opened in 1971. The priority enrolment suburbs for 2006 to 2008 (inclusive) are Florey, Hawker, Page, Scullin, Weetangera, Holt, Higgins, Latham and Macgregor. There is an increasing enrolment from other Belconnen suburbs. It is a four-year high school, with students enrolled in Years 7-10. Most of the school's students enrol at Hawker College at the end of Year 10, to complete their Year 12 Certificate. Some proceed to other colleges.
