SCHOOL DRESS CODE
All students are expected to attend school dressed in school dress code attire. Dress code allows students to identity with their school and feel a sense of pride and collegiality.
All students must be in dress code to –
- access the school oval
- attend school excursions, sporting activities and socials
Note - Students must change into school approved clothing for their PE lessons.
ITEMS PERMITTED (note - dress code is currently under review for 2007)
TOPS
- Plain white or plain red polo shirt (collared t-shirt) (Tops are expected to have obvious sleeves)
- BHS white or red polo shirt
- BHS PE T-shirt (for PE / sport only)
- Plain black jumper (with white collar visible)
- Plain red jumper
- BHS jumper or Rugby top
- BHS spray jacket or tracksuit
BOTTOMS
- Plain black pants/shorts
- Plain black skirt
FOOTWEAR
- Runners or
- Closed in shoes (essential for foot protection in practical classes)
ITEMS NOT PERMITTED
- Clothing with slogans or motifs, except for very small brand names eg. “Nike”
- Lycra bike pants
- Tank tops or sleeveless tops
- Midriff tops
- Torn or dirty clothing
- Platform, high-heel shoes or thongs
PE tops can be purchased from the school. Other school dress code items are available from MacDonalds Children’s Wear at the Jamison Centre, Macquarie.
Note - If you have any problems with dress code policy see the Student Services Executive Teacher as soon as possible.
