Our Students

Students with disability

Children and young people with diverse learning and support needs, including students with disability, are welcomed at our school. We make adjustments to help students learn and take part in school activities to meet every student at their point of need.

Adjustments may include:

  • providing extra visual cues
  • breaking down tasks
  • checking for understanding
  • smaller group learning opportunities
  • access to learning support assistants
  • physical changes to the environment
  • access to calming spaces for regulation
  • helping students to communicate.

Keeping students safe

ACT Child Safe Standards

Our school is committed to keeping children safe. As an ACT public school, we have adopted the 10 ACT Child Safe Standards and continue to work with the ACT Human Rights Commission to build on the existing child safe culture in schools to strengthen our practices in keeping students safe and well.

Keeping students safe online

Parents can play a key role in keeping their children and young people safe online. The eSafety Commissioner has a range of resources to help you keep your children and young people safe from harm online.

The ACT Education Directorate runs webinars each term to provide useful information and advice. Topics cover understanding the current online safety issues young people are experiencing, how to support your child to be safe online, resources for responding to online issues and where to go for more support.
